This morning I awoke and was out of the Hotel by 8:15. I somehow managed to find my way to the base of the Nordkettenbahn- the cable car that leads up to Seegrube and then to Hafelekarspitze. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a cable car there. The cable was being replaced. So, I figured, what the hell. I was wanted to go hiking so I started up. Two hours later I found myself at Seegrube (at the top of the big cable car ride). My legs kindly informed me that they were not going to go on to Hafelekarspitze (where I would have wound up had I taken both cable cars if they were operating!) but I was far from disappointed. I had finally gotten out and gone hiking! Yahoooo! It was awesome/amazing to look down on Innsbruck.
